Ferris Wheel at the Amusement Park during a Schuetzenfest at Hahndorf. The Schuetzenfest - meaning 'Shooting festival' - originated in the provinces of Germany where every town held its own shooting competition and celebration. Schuetzenfests have been held by the German community in South Australia since 1865 in locations such as Adelaide, Hahndorf, Lobethal and the Barossa Valley. |
