Gold Diggers Arms Hotel, Norwood. According to historian, Patricia Summerling, Norwood was only a small village in 1852. Residents regularly used the Norwood hotel for meetings, municipal discussions and especially for local council meetings. Between 1852 and 1856, the villages of Kensington and Norwood established their local council in the hotel foyer of the Gold Diggers Arms.
