Description : |
As transport networks expanded including rail, roads and shipping, improved tourism developed. After the Second World War there came a period of prosperity which created the foundations for the rise of mass tourism. Economic growth, accompanied by rising incomes, longer annual leave, long service provisions, and job security, made it possible for many more Australians to take a holiday. This simple tourism brochure was issued alerting people to the facilities and activities available to the tourist visting Port Augusta. |
