Highlights of the 1972 South Australian National Football League (SANFL) Grand Final at the Adelaide Oval that saw North Adelaide (Roosters) 19 goals 14 behinds, 128 points defeat Port Adelaide (Magpies) 10 goals 12 behinds, 72 points before a crowd of 55,709.

Includes pre-game interviews with coaches Mike 'Swamp Fox' Patterson from North and Port's Fos Williams, as well as excerpts from the 3/4 time talk of both coaches.

Playing on the day were such greats as North's Barrie Robran, Bob Hammond, Darryl Webb, Dennis Sachse, Terry von Bertouch, Barry Stringer and Garry Sporn and Port's Russell Ebert, John Cahill, Peter Woite, Bruce Light and Brian Cunningham.

Two weeks later the Roosters went on to defeat Victorian Football League premiers Carlton by one point at Adelaide Oval to become the 'Champions of Australia'.
