Portrait of G. Gooch from Mount Brown from the S.A. Northern Pioneers' composite, 1850-1859 (shown in position on B 6912/2). George Gooch was a partner of Henry Scott and Albert Hayward, a brother of J Frederick Hayward. They owned Myall Creek station north west of Port Augusta. In 1863 Gooch also became part owner of Yadlamalka (or Yadlamalca), with his partners Henry Scott and Albert Hayward. George was the brother of Douglas Gooch, another northern pastoralist. |
